Nominations Are Now Open

This year’s Project Serious initiative celebrates the “Unsung Neighbor”, an individual whose kindness, service, and generosity often go unrecognized. We’re seeking nominees who uplift others, support their community, and make a meaningful difference through everyday actions.

Individual Years:

  • Every other year, Webfoot selects an individual who cares deeply for (and helps support) their community in meaningful ways that could use our help.
  • Nomination Process: The community is invited to submit short videos nominating an individual they feel is deserving. These videos must highlight the nominee’s story, the impact they have had, and why they are deserving of the $20,000 in services.

Non-Profit Years:

  • Open Call for Entries: Non-profit organizations across the area are encouraged to nominate themselves by uploading a video that introduces their mission, the impact they have on the community, and what specific services they need.
  • Community Voting: The community votes to select the top three non-profit finalists, based on the videos submitted.
  • Public Voting: Once nominations are in, the Central Oregon community gets involved by voting for their favorite. This voting narrows down the pool to three finalists.

Final Selection:

  • Webfoot Team Involvement: The three individuals or non-profits with the most community votes will become the top three finalists, and the decision moves to the Webfoot team. Each team member casts a single vote to determine the final winner.

Project Serious is a highlight of the year and reinforces our commitment to making a meaningful impact in our community!

Project serious 2022

Project Serious 2022 was focused on giving back to a nurse in our community.  We were thrilled to be able to give back to someone who gives so much of herself to our community.

Project serious 2021

Project Serious 2021 was a non-profit year, and went to the La Pine Senior Activity Center.  We provided a fresh coat of paint inside and out, brightening the building… and hopefully the lives of those within its walls.
